What the Casino Lobby Won't Tell You
Cities that permit social card rooms MUST allow them wherever food and beverages are served.
- This is the state law. There is no middle ground. Allowing one means allowing them all.
- The authority to regulate the location of casinos has not been clearly granted to cities, and likely will not be upheld in court. (more)

In the Nov. 8 election, Tukwila residents must make a decision on what has become the talk of the town--whether to vote yes or no on Advisory Measure #1. This measure will determine whether or not card rooms and casinos will be allowed to stay open and operate in the city of Tukwila. (more)
The Truth about 450 "Family Wage" Jobs
The casino supporters allege that if social card rooms are banned, 450 "family wage" jobs will be lost. According to the City of Tukwila Finance Department, the actual number of full-time jobs for the three casinos still operating in Tukwila is 316, with an additional 98 which are part-time. The question as to whether these are "family wage" jobs is another matter to be considered. (more)
